Organic Lavender and Chaga Tea

Most people experience some form of stress and anxiety in their life, some worse than others. We can never totally eliminate stress and your body actually needs it to some degree, just not as much as we are exposed to on a regular basis. ⁣Chronic stress can lead to feelings of being out of control and if we don’t do anything to support our bodies, this is when anxiety creeps in. ⁣

This summer I had a lavender fog latte, while it was really good at the time, it had way more sugar in it than what I typically consume and I was basically thrown into a state of panic for the rest of the day....far from the effect I was hoping for! This got me thinking, I wanted to recreate something that tasted just as good, but with more of a benefit to help promote a sense of calm rather than adding more stress in the body with all of the extra sweetness . I ended up coming up with this recipe and since it is so good, I figured it would share as I am sure there is someone out there who can benefit from a stress/anxiety reducing drink 😉⁣

LAVENDER & CHAGA TEA

1 tsp lavender (organic and for culinary use)⁣
2 tsp small chaga chunks ⁣
0.5 tsp cinnamon ⁣
1 cup boiling water ⁣
0.5 cup oat milk, frothed ⁣

Directions:⁣
- steep lavender, chaga & cinnamon for 5+minutes ⁣
- froth oat milk or heat in a small pot on the stove (whisking to create a froth) ⁣
- pour oat milk into tea, top with some more cinnamon, relax & enjoy
